Son directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, le Pr Palokinam T. Pitche, a rencontr\u00e9 les responsables du Centre nig\u00e9rian de contr\u00f4le et de pr\u00e9vention des maladies (NCDC) afin de coordonner les actions de pr\u00e9paration et de lutte contre l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 cette occasion, l\u2019organisation r\u00e9gionale a remis au NCDC un important lot de mat\u00e9riel compos\u00e9 de 20 000 thermom\u00e8tres infrarouges sans contact et de 1 200 flacons de gel hydroalcoolique de 500 ml. Ces \u00e9quipements permettront de renforcer le d\u00e9pistage, les mesures d\u2019hygi\u00e8ne et la surveillance sanitaire aux points de contr\u00f4le ainsi que dans les centres de prise en charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du NCDC, le Dr Jide Idris, a salu\u00e9 cet appui et insist\u00e9 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019une r\u00e9ponse collective. Il estime que la lutte contre Ebola doit associer la surveillance \u00e9pid\u00e9miologique, la d\u00e9tection rapide des cas, la prise en charge des patients, la communication sur les risques et les moyens logistiques. L\u2019OMS et Africa CDC ont \u00e9galement exprim\u00e9 leur volont\u00e9 de travailler avec l\u2019OOAS dans le cadre du dispositif national de riposte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour le Pr Palokinam T. Pitche, la situation sanitaire au Nigeria repr\u00e9sente un enjeu pour l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest. Il a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 la disponibilit\u00e9 de l\u2019OOAS \u00e0 accompagner le pays, notamment dans le renforcement des laboratoires et des capacit\u00e9s de surveillance.
