Organis\u00e9e en partenariat avec l\u2019Organisation internationale des bois tropicaux (OIBT), cette session r\u00e9unit des experts de plusieurs pays afin de renforcer leurs comp\u00e9tences sur la r\u00e9gulation du commerce international des esp\u00e8ces de bois menac\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le ministre togolais de l\u2019Environnement, Katari Foli-Bazi, a profit\u00e9 de l\u2019occasion pour rappeler l\u2019engagement ferme du Togo en mati\u00e8re de protection des for\u00eats tropicales. Selon lui, la gestion durable des ressources foresti\u00e8res est essentielle pour pr\u00e9server l\u2019\u00e9quilibre des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et assurer le bien-\u00eatre des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les travaux, qui se poursuivront jusqu\u2019au 16 mai, permettront \u00e9galement d\u2019\u00e9changer des exp\u00e9riences et de discuter des m\u00e9canismes favorisant un \u00e9quilibre entre commerce et conservation.
