Cette rencontre s\u2019inscrit dans le cadre des consultations internationales visant \u00e0 instaurer une paix durable dans l\u2019Est de la RDC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019issue des \u00e9changes, M. Borgstam a salu\u00e9 le leadership du Pr\u00e9sident Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 dans son r\u00f4le de m\u00e9diateur et a affirm\u00e9 : \u00ab J\u2019ai r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 au Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil la volont\u00e9 de l&rsquo;Union europ\u00e9enne de soutenir les diff\u00e9rents efforts de m\u00e9diation en cours \u00bb. Il a \u00e9galement soulign\u00e9 l\u2019importance de la coordination entre les initiatives internationales pour la stabilit\u00e9 de la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La rencontre a permis de mettre en avant l\u2019accord de paix sign\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment entre la RDC et le Rwanda \u00e0 Washington, auquel une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation togolaise a pris part. \u00ab Ce qui compte maintenant, c&rsquo;est la mise en \u0153uvre avec l\u2019implication des populations concern\u00e9es \u00bb, a insist\u00e9 M. Borgstam.
