L\u2019ONG AJVSME a officiellement lanc\u00e9, le 5 ao\u00fbt 2025 \u00e0 K\u00e9v\u00e9, un sous-projet de reboisement dans la Commune d\u2019Av\u00e9 1, dans le cadre du programme Renforcement de la r\u00e9silience au Changement Climatique des Communaut\u00e9s C\u00f4ti\u00e8res du Togo (R4C-Togo). Cette initiative vise \u00e0 restaurer cinq hectares de terres d\u00e9grad\u00e9es et \u00e0 sensibiliser les populations locales, notamment les jeunes et les femmes, aux enjeux environnementaux. Elle b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie du soutien de la FAO, du Fonds pour l\u2019environnement mondial, de l\u2019ODEF et du minist\u00e8re togolais de l\u2019environnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie, plusieurs personnalit\u00e9s, dont le Secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la Pr\u00e9fecture de l\u2019Av\u00e9, le Pr\u00e9sident du CNJ et des repr\u00e9sentants du projet R4C-Togo, ont salu\u00e9 l\u2019engagement de l\u2019ONG. Ils ont soulign\u00e9 l\u2019importance de cette action dans une r\u00e9gion d\u00e9j\u00e0 impliqu\u00e9e dans des initiatives \u00e9cologiques comme la Journ\u00e9e de l\u2019arbre et la rentr\u00e9e verte. Le projet est per\u00e7u comme un levier suppl\u00e9mentaire pour renforcer la dynamique locale en mati\u00e8re de protection de l\u2019environnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Directeur ex\u00e9cutif de l\u2019AJVSME, Elom Kokou Bayita, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que cette phase initiale comprend des campagnes de sensibilisation \u00e0 destination des jeunes, des \u00e9l\u00e8ves, des femmes et des groupes associatifs. Le but est de \u201cmobiliser toutes les couches sociales pour leur faire d\u00e9couvrir et s\u2019approprier cette initiative \u00e9cologique\u201d. Ce projet pr\u00e9voit aussi la formation de 60 \u00e9l\u00e8ves sur les causes de la d\u00e9gradation des terres et le renforcement des comp\u00e9tences de 30 femmes et jeunes en mara\u00eechage et gestion durable des terres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon le responsable communication du projet R4C-Togo, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Liassidi, \u201cil est essentiel d\u2019impliquer \u00e9troitement les b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires ainsi que les autorit\u00e9s locales pour garantir une mise en \u0153uvre r\u00e9ussie du programme.\u201d Le Pr\u00e9sident du CNJ, R\u00e9gis Batchassi, a pour sa part insist\u00e9 sur la dimension \u00e9ducative du projet : \u201cLe R4C agit comme un levier de transformation pour \u00e9veiller la conscience \u00e9cologique des jeunes et les pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 int\u00e9grer durablement la protection de l\u2019environnement dans leur quotidien.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle nationale, ce projet s\u2019inscrit dans une strat\u00e9gie plus vaste de lutte contre la d\u00e9forestation. Alors que la couverture foresti\u00e8re actuelle du Togo ne repr\u00e9sente que 6,8% de sa superficie, le gouvernement ambitionne d\u2019atteindre les 30% d\u2019ici 2050.
