En exposition depuis ao\u00fbt 2025 au mus\u00e9e Kijain Art Contemporain, l\u2019artiste Kossi ASSOU nous a r\u00e9uni une fois de plus ce samedi 24 janvier 2026 autour de son exposition \u00ab Mes Obsessions \u00bb avec une th\u00e9matique particuli\u00e8re : l\u2019importance de l\u2019art contemporain dans nos vies.
Ce talk-show a permis de nous plonger davantage dans la vie de l\u2019artiste, avoir une autre dimension de compr\u00e9hension de son art et finalement de l\u2019art contemporain.
Contrairement au divertissement, \u00e0 nos peurs, nos d\u00e9sirs, nos identit\u00e9s structur\u00e9s par la vie quotidienne, l\u2019art contemporain op\u00e8re une d\u00e9possession salutaire, il nous ram\u00e8ne \u00e0 notre v\u00e9ritable essence.
\u00c0 travers son travail, il rapproche \u00e9galement l\u2019art contemporain du public en le d\u00e9pouillant de son caract\u00e8re \u00e9litiste pour le rendre plus accessible, moins intimidant.
Les \u0153uvres de Kossi ASSOU alias pharaon ou Togbe pharaon dans cette m\u00eame vision deviennent v\u00e9hicules de transcendance et nous fait ressouvenir ce que nous sommes d\u00e9j\u00e0 au plus profond de nous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kossi ASSOU, l\u2019artiste aux multiples facettes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Install\u00e9 \u00e0 Djass\u00e9m\u00e9 dans la commune des Lacs 3, Kossi Hemadzro ASSOU incarne une figure singuli\u00e8re de l\u2019art contemporain tissant ensemble cr\u00e9ation et qu\u00eate spirituelle avec une rare authenticit\u00e9. Artiste proteiforme : plasticien, desinger, auteur et entrepreneur culturel. Il est \u00e9galement pr\u00eatre-vodou, initi\u00e9 aux savoir ancestraux qui relient les mondes visible et invisible. Ses \u0153uvres figurent aujourd\u2019hui dans de prestigieuses collections internationales. Son engagement lui a valu d\u2019\u00eatre sacr\u00e9 Tr\u00e9sor Humain Vivant par le Togo en 2007 et class\u00e9 parmi les 100 acteurs culturels les plus influents au monde. Il est \u00e9galement Officier de l\u2019Ordre National du M\u00e9rite.
Puisant dans les mat\u00e9riaux de la nature, Kossi ASSOU r\u00e9alise des \u0153uvres o\u00f9 se rencontrent symboles sacr\u00e9s, r\u00e9cits et iconographies du Panth\u00e9on vodou. Son travail explore cette fronti\u00e8re poreuse entre mati\u00e8re et esprit o\u00f9 l\u2019art devient langage initiatique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019animisme au c\u0153ur des inspirations et aspirations de l\u2019artiste<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


De son nom de pr\u00eatre-vodou Hounon Sika-Trontodzi, Kossi ASSOU est un fervent pratiquant de l\u2019animisme, h\u00e9ritage de ses anc\u00eatres. Ses inspirations proviennent de ses aspirations profond\u00e9ment religieuses.
L\u2019animisme selon internet est une croyance en des esprits capables d\u2019agir sur le monde n\u00e9cessitant rituels et sacrifices. Elle est \u00e9galement une continuit\u00e9 morale entre la nature et l\u2019humain tout en apportant une philosophie de vie. L\u2019artiste, pr\u00eatre-vodou \u00e0 travers son art nous apporte les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s invisibles qui nous sont indispensables pour pouvoir incarner la mati\u00e8re dans son enti\u00e8ret\u00e9. Cr\u00e9er pour Kossi ASSOU est un acte de connexion.
